Safety Basis Engineer

Clover Leaf Solutions – Albuquerque, New Mexico

We are seeking a Safety Basis Engineer to join our team. This is an experienced team that performs a wide array of tasks to support and provide safety basis oversight for our clients team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses of processes, systems, and accident phenomenology.
  • Identify hazards, perform hazard and accident analyses to identify and select appropriate controls, and develop/review safety cases.
  • Perform engineering analyses of nuclear or radioactive materials, chemical inventories, high-energy materials, and operations to resolve or establish a facility’s hazard categorization based upon regulatory requirements.
  • Review or approve document safety analyses (DSAs) and technical safety requirements (TSRs) for nuclear facilities, safety evaluations for accelerators, and safety assessments for industrial facilities that require a more rigorous analysis.
  • Lead or assist with various aspects of the Readiness Review process and create or review the associated documentation.
  • Lead or assist with Conduct of Operation (ConOps) assessments.
  • Prepare or review Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) documentation.

Clover Leaf is looking for an experienced Construction Safety Inspector to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team and individually. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing frequent field support to the construction program at client sites in Albuquerque.
  • Overseeing construction work in progress and assisting with subcontract compliance and work acceptance and ES&H oversight functions; ensure that requirements are incorporated by construction subcontractors.
  • Understanding work plans, specifications, written documents and related ES&H requirements; assisting construction subcontractors in obtaining permits and assuring permit requirements are met.
  • Providing field support to administered health and safety programs, policies, and procedures that oversee construction activities; performing field observations and demonstrating knowledge in safety disciplines.
  • Preparing observation reports that document the progress, quality, and safety of construction work and other pertinent construction information; assisting in construction site safety reviews and issuing safety observations and non-compliance documentation to client construction safety managers.
  • Continuously evaluate construction job sites for any hazards not previously identified or adequately controlled.
  • Performing final inspections/Punch Lists of construction projects.
