Topic: Crane Safety

Presenter: Gregg Hardman of Crane Service

The discussion will cover the basic standards and procedures for safe Mobile Crane Operation including rigging, communication and weather.

Gregg’s background in the Crane Industry began in 1979 when he was employed by Crane Service Inc. and subsequently joined the Operating Engineers Local 953.  He  entered into the Operator Apprentice Training Program and in two years received a Operator’s Certificate.  Some years later he entered into a partnership to form New Mexico Crane and Equipment and acquired a GB-98 Contractor License and entered into the steel erection business as well.  He spent seventeen years managing the Rental and Crane Division of a large equipment company in West Texas. Currently he is the Safety Coordinator for Crane Service Inc. and certified to teach all classes of Forklifts, Aerial Lifts, Rigging and Signal Person Training.
