The executive committee is currently reviewing and updating the chapter by-laws to make them current and more aligned with the national by-laws. Once the review is complete, the executive committee will send the by-laws out to the NM Chapter membership for review and comment. Our goal is to have the by-laws then updated and approved by the membership in early 2023. Future updates to come.
The executive committee is working with our partners at New Mexico Society of Hazardous Materials Managers (NMSHMM) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) on a membership appreciation event in December. As with last year’s very enjoyable and successful event, your executive committee will communicate to membership on the location, date and times once the location and details have been worked out. We are again also planning to combine this with a food drive/donation campaign to support our local charities as the holiday season fast approaches. More details on both will be communicated soon.
Please download and read the agreement establishing an alliance between the New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau and the New Mexico Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (NM ASSE).
